Fleet camera questions, answered
Should I choose a mobile DVR or a dash cam?
TMV recommends mobile DVR systems for waste trucks and school buses that need multiple camera views. Dash cams serve NEMT and other commercial vehicles. Our team helps select coverage around your vehicles and daily work.
Can I buy hardware without TracFleet?
Yes. TMV sells hardware alone. Add TracFleet when you want connected access to video, vehicle locations, and route history. Software and connected services are separate from a hardware-only purchase.
Can I use TracFleet without TMV hardware?
No. TracFleet requires TMV hardware and is not sold as standalone software.
How do I access footage?
With TracFleet and a connected TMV camera system, your team can retrieve available video remotely and review it alongside vehicle and trip information. Available footage depends on the equipment, recording settings, retention, and connectivity.
