Waste Management Fleets

TracFleet built around the waste route

Know where every truck is, verify what happened at every stop, and keep the camera evidence behind contamination and service disputes. TracFleet connects those operations to an installed DVR with up to eight camera views.

Why TracFleet

A Record for Every Route, Stop, and Dispute

Waste operations produce thousands of service decisions in the field. TracFleet gives managers the map, history, and camera evidence to answer them.

Verify Every Stop

Pair video, location, and time to show whether a cart or container was serviced.

Resolve Claims Faster

Pull road, side, rear, and hopper footage without bringing the truck back to the yard.

Control Route Cost

See route history, idle time, and missed-service patterns instead of rebuilding the day from phone calls.

Support SB-1383 Workflows

Document contamination and prohibited items, then create a record for customer notices and audits.

FAQ

Waste Fleet Camera Questions

How many cameras can a waste truck use?

The mobile DVR supports up to eight cameras. Camera placement is configured around the truck body and the work you need to document, including road, cab, side, rear, hopper, arm, and work-area views.

Can the system verify a pickup without adding sensors?

Yes. Pickup detection uses the installed camera system, then pairs the service event with its vehicle, location, and time in TracFleet.

How does TMV support SB-1383 work?

The system can flag visible contamination or prohibited items, preserve the service evidence, and generate customer notices. These records support your SB-1383 workflows; they do not replace your own compliance program or legal guidance.

What happens when a customer disputes service?

Use the service location and date to review the vehicle route, pickup record, and available camera footage. That gives your team a documented answer instead of relying on memory.

How long is footage kept on the truck?

Local DVR retention is configurable for up to 60 days, depending on the camera count, recording settings, and installed storage.

Is footage automatically stored in the cloud?

Cloud upload is optional. You control what is uploaded and how long it is retained. TracFleet includes unlimited cloud storage volume and history for uploaded footage.

Do we need TracFleet to use the cameras?

The DVR can provide a local camera record on its own. Most fleets pair it with TracFleet for remote footage, live location, route history, service records, and day-to-day operations.

Who installs and supports the system?

TMV provides onsite installation and repairs in Southern California, with direct team support nationwide. Outside Southern California, discuss installation arrangements with us before ordering. We have served commercial fleets since 2007.
